This website has been so great.
Long story short I'm filling out forms for my Grandmother who as alheimer's.  She is in a care home not an assited living  or nursing home.  Medicaid has said they will not pay bec it's a care home.  Does anyone know if this matters for Aid & Assitence & death pension from the VA?  Thanks so much.
The VA messed up Grandpa's pension (he should have been getting more) so we're hoping that we can now get that money for my Grandma.  Thanks!!

Since it is a 'care home' the expenses should be counted towards reducing countable income and it should also qualify for the A&A, if all other requirements are met.
