VeteranAid.org Gets a Facelift
OK, so it's not major surgery, but VeteranAid.org has gone through some recent changes. While not drastic,
there have been some element changes. For the most part, the changes had to do with the reorganization of
information. The site has grown so much over the past two years that it had become more difficult to manage.
New articles were added, but in no particular order. Updates were getting out of control. And some of the most
important information was getting lost.
We decided to keep the same layout, as we believe in the principle of "simple is best". The site is easy to navigate
and we did not want to implement such huge changes as to confuse everyone. You might notice that the site is a bit
cleaner and better organized, but the overall feel of the site remains. The updates are not yet complete, so you will
see some differences between some pages. Updates will continue until the entire site is complete.
Some key changes you might be interested in:
- Font Sizer--if some text is too small (or large), you can change it by clicking on the links in the top right of the page.
- Updates Section--fewer updates will be displayed on the home page, but there is a link to all updates.
- Important Forms--the most requested forms are listed on the home page in the top right box for easy access.
- Helpful Articles--the most helpful articles we have found are listed on the home page in the lower right box with a link to all articles.
- The VA Failure to Honor Wall--this is our way of honoring those Veterans that the VA did not.
- The VeteranAid.org Online Store--cool stuff that will help us reach our advertising goals to spread the word about A&A.
Big things are happening--and will continue to happen. But, without your help, many of these features will be useless.
This site started as a way to spread information about the Aid & Attendance Special Pension. We have been fortunate
to have many people join us in delivering that message. Now is the time to gather our forces and act as one voice to bring changes to the VA.
There are many ways that you can help.
- Add a name to the Wall
- Join the Forum and give advice
- Purchase something from the Store
- But most of all, help get the word out to the millions of Veterans who need the vital information on this
site about the Aid & Attendance Pension!
If there is some other way you believe you can "plug in", please

We are always willing to hear new ideas and discuss new ways to educate the public about this benefit.

VeteranAid.org was created to provide information, free of charge, to veterans, their spouses and families. If you are a veteran,
the surviving spouse of a veteran, or the responsible family member of a veteran, we urge you to apply for the VA Aid and Attendance
Special Pension at the earliest time possible. This benefit could make the difference between a veteran or surviving spouse living in a high-quality assisted living facility or in a
state-operated nursing home.
VeteranAid.org cannot answer any legal or medical questions. VeteranAid.org is not associated with any government agency and cannot guarantee eligibility nor monetary compensation from the Aid
and Attendance program. This website is for informational purposes only.
*Figures are from the Veteran's Administration as of 1/01/07 Please contact the VA to verify current Aid and Attendance monthly payments.
